Following the completion of its successful 2026 kiwifruit harvest, Seeka said it was satisfied with its results and financial forecast for the year.

Seeka has safely and successfully completed its 2026 kiwifruit harvests across New Zealand and Australia.

The company has forcasted net profit before tax for the 2026 financial year to be between NZD 38 million and NZD 42 million compared to NZD 47.5 million last year.

The company packed 45.4 million class 1 kiwifruit trays in New Zealand in 2026 compared to 47.1 million in the previous year. Harvest 2026 included a record SunGold volume, however the Hayward (Green) volume was down, reflecting more normal yields.

In Australia, Seeka harvested 2.25 million kilograms of kiwifruit down by 14 percent following a hotter and drier growing season delivering a smaller size profile and lowering earnings.

The season highlighted the benefits of Seeka's ongoing investment in automation and technology to achieve a network of highly efficient and automated packhouses adjacent to where the fruit is grown. The automation innovations in 2026 had delivered cost savings and increased productivity and delivered growers a timely harvest. Further improvements are scheduled for 2027.

Following harvest completion, Seeka continues to maintain a strong financial position and remains focused on delivering long-term value.

Seeka Chief Executive, Michael Franks, outlined that the company was satisfied with the operational results and financial forecast for the year, which represents Seeka’s second-highest earnings on record.

Franks thanked all growers, contractors and staff for their support through the season.

"Seeka acknowledges and thanks its growers, contractors and employees for their continued commitment and contribution to a successful harvest."
