The new packaging line, titled X-LOOP White Paper, takes the topic of sustainability one step further.
Alongside X-CYCLE, the complete range of recyclable solutions is designed within CEFLEX and OPRL guidelines.
The X-LOOP packaging includes circular and post-consumer recycled plastic firms and bio-circular plastics.
It is ISCC PLUS certified and food-contact safe, following all regulations on plastic materials coming into contact with food.
The mechanical, physical, and chemical properties remain the same as virgin plastics, meaning there is no difference in performance on converting and packaging lines.
According to the mass balance approach applied, the laminated structures reach adjustable rates of circular/bio-circular content based on the amount of ISCC-certified material used in their production.
The packaging solution resulted in a lower carbon footprint than virgin or fossil-based plastics. In addition, it supplies barrier properties, packaging functionality, and the aesthetics of the original film.
