USA | The Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA) awarded GTF Technologies the 2024 Innovation Excellence award.
MMA announced the 2024 Manufacturing Excellence Awards winners during a celebration in Lansing. GTF Technologies was honoured with the Innovation Excellence award from over 140 nominees for its innovative technology in the food manufacturing industry.
GTF has manufactured the revolutionary RENU Drying and Milling System, an impact flash-drying technology that converted whole foods into powders in seconds. The technology has benefitted juicers and other food processors that disposed of high-value side streams or byproducts.
Nearly 90 percent of the surplus in food processing is a byproduct, much of which is edible and often the most nutritious part of a fruit or vegetable.
Immediately stabilising these foods that would otherwise go to waste can be upcycled into food and beverage ingredients, pet foods, natural flavourings and colourants, and biodegradable packaging – thereby promoting a more circular food system.

The Manufacturing Excellence Awards is the annual statewide celebration of the exceptional contributions that Michigan manufacturers make to their workforce, their communities, the economy, and the industry.
