After seven years with the Auckland hub of the NZ Food Innovation Network, FoodBowl chief executive Alexandra Allan has resigned.
Allan is leaving the government-funded organisation to join the innovation team at dairy giant Fonterra’s Fanshawe Street office in August. She will be replaced by FoodBowl business development manager Al Baxter on an interim basis.
Allan joined FoodBowl in mid-2014 as a client services manager, before stepping up to the helm in January 2016.
During her tenure, she has been responsible for driving the impact and scope of the innovation and commercialisation centre, including leading a cross-functional team of technical experts, engineers, and commercial professionals.
Under her management, there was a more than 40 percent increase in the number of companies innovating products at the manufacturing facility.
“I have loved working at The FoodBowl and relished the opportunities and challenges that have come with it,” Allan said.
“I’m really going to miss everyone at The FoodBowl, including our clients, the board, and most of all our awesome team who have without a doubt been the best team a person could hope to work with.”
