ProfilePrint has launched “Orca”, the 5th generation food ingredient analyser, marking a significant leap in AI-powered food ingredient analysis.

For the first time, quality teams will be able to capture a complete digital identity of ingredients, moving beyond traditional food fingerprints to palmprints to achieve unprecedented depth and range in food ingredient analysis.

The company’s new white paper has demonstrated Orca’s capabilities through a breakthrough in coffee blend quantification, as it has achieved below five percent prediction error in quantifying Arabica-Robusta proportions.

It also detailed how this technology handled diverse coffee origins and processing methods, offering practical applications for quality control and verification.

While coffee can be used as an example, Orca's enhanced wavelength range and doubled data capture have made it equally powerful in analysing complex ingredients across the food industry, from modified starches and processed foods to non-dairy creamers and liquid ingredients.
