SWEDEN | Swisslog, a leading global provider of automated logistics solutions, will establish a new office for its Technology Centre in Linköping, Sweden.
The move, scheduled for April 2025, marked an exciting new chapter in the company's growth and innovation efforts. This expansion will not impact Boxholm's vital role in Swisslog’s global operations.
Approximately 100 of the 250 employees will remain in Boxholm to maintain essential production activities. This decision underscored Swisslog’s commitment to the Boxholm site, a key part of its operations since the mid-1980s.
The new office will be located in Mjärdevi and become part of Linköping Science Park, a renowned innovation hub that has hosted more than 600 companies. This aligned with Swisslog’s strategic goal of fostering closer connections with cutting-edge talent and being part of a collaborative ecosystem of forward-thinking companies.
“We are thrilled to establish our new office in Mjärdevi and become part of the Linköping Science Park,” said Jonas Karlström, Managing Director of Swisslog Technology Centre Sweden.
“This move allows us to be closer to a rich pool of talent and to benefit from the dynamic and innovative environment that the Science Park is known for. At the same time, Boxholm will continue to play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring continuity and stability.”
The Linköping Science Park has been recognised as a vibrant hub for technological innovation and collaboration. Swisslog’s expansion into Linköping signified a step toward future growth while honouring the company’s legacy in Boxholm. The dual-location approach has allowed the company to remain agile and adaptable in an evolving global market.
“We warmly welcome Swisslog to Linköping Science Park. Our ecosystem thrives on the exchange of ideas and collaboration, and having Swisslog’s Technology Centre office here further strengthens our community of innovators. We look forward to supporting their growth and development in this dynamic environment,” said Lena Miranda, CEO of Linköping Science Park.
Swisslog has aimed to leverage the strengths of both locations by maintaining production in Boxholm and establishing an office in Linköping’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
