More than 40,000 Meals Donated by Subway!

Subway New Zealand today announced they’ve donated more than 40,000 meals to KiwiHarvest, thanks to their initiative, ‘Every Kids Pak Gives Back’.

The initiative, which has run since September last year, has seen Subway make a donation to KiwiHarvest to cover the cost of one meal for a New Zealand child in need for every sale of a Kids Pak.

With one in five New Zealand kids living in poverty and regularly going hungry, Subway’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Amanda Templeton said the donation of 40,000 meals will help KiwiHarvest to ease the burden for New Zealand families.

“At Subway we believe all children should have access to fresh, nutritious food. Our Every Kids’ Pak Gives Back initiative is about fighting food insecurity, especially after such a challenging 2020, with many families are continuing to do it tough.

“This year for every Subway Kids’ Pak sold, Subway will support a meal to a child in need, through KiwiHarvest,” Mrs Templeton said.

KiwiHarvest General Manager, Blandina Diamond has thanked Subway for their contribution and is thrilled with the positive response seen since the launch of ‘Every Kids Pak Gives Back’.

“KiwiHarvest has a long history working with Subway as a brand partner and their latest initiative means we can continue to deliver on our mission of feeding food insecure Kiwis,” Diamond said.

The ’Every Kids Pak Gives Back’ initiative will continue for the remainder of the year and New Zealanders are encouraged to support KiwiHarvest by purchasing a fresh meal for their kids from Subway in 2021.
